Jan 29 Update | Our restaurant is now open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday – and for lunch on Sundays. Bookings are essential – ring (03) 5158 8205 to reserve a table. The GIPSY POINT LODGE Restaurant is closed on public holidays.

Surrounded by the Croajingolong National Park , a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, GIPSY POINT LODGE provides a comfortable home base to explore a rich diversity of bird, animal and plant life. Our jetties and boat ramp give direct access for guests to enjoy the extensive Mallacoota Inlet and local rivers which are renowned for their excellent bream and flathead fishing. You can hire a canoe or Hobie kayak at GIPSY POINT LODGE, or bring your own, to explore these peaceful waters | more on boating and fishing at Gipsy Point

Apart from boating and fishing other popular local activities include bird, wildflower and nature observation and photography, busk walking, mountain biking, swimming, beach combing, sightseeing or simply relaxing in the Lodge and enjoying our extensive gardens or private jetties | more on local activities

Gipsy Point is only a very short drive from the beaches and coastal scenery of the Wilderness Coast of Far East Gippsland, Victoria. Traveling along the Princes Highway from Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra take the Gipsy Point-Mallacoota Road at Genoa and follow the well sign-posted route 10 kms to GIPSY POINT LODGE.

Mallacoota is only 20 km away by road and a 15 minute drive.  Gipsy Point is also only a 55 minute drive from Eden – the gateway to the Sapphire Coast, NSW – so you can enjoy the best of both these beautiful coasts from your GIPSY POINT LODGE base.

  • Sydney to Gipsy Point (Princes Hwy) | 550 km drive (7.5 hours)

 Commercial flights operate to Merimbula, NSW – and charter flights are available in to and out of Mallacoota.
